JOB OPENING: PEB Erection Engineer (Structural Steel & Sheeting)
National and Overseas Consultancy is urgently hiring for a Leading Construction Company based in Chennai. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with specialized expertise in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), Structural Steel erection, and Sheeting work.
Job Overview
- Designation: PEB Erection Engineer (Structural Steel and Sheeting)
- Location: As per Site Requirement (Project sites across India/Chennai)
- Company Base Location: Chennai, India
- Experience: 5 to 8 Years
- Salary: ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 per month (Based on Experience & Interview Performance)
Key Responsibilities
As a PEB Erection Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of structural steel erection on-site. Your duties will include:
- Site Execution: Supervise the erection of Primary Members (Columns, Rafters) and Secondary Members (Purlins, Girts) according to approved GA drawings.
- Sheeting & Cladding: Manage roof and wall sheeting installation, ensuring proper alignment, lap, and water-tightness.
- Planning & Coordination: Coordinate with the fabrication team for material delivery and ensure material stacking and handling is done as per safety standards.
- Quality Control: Check bolt torqueing, alignment, plumb, and leveling of structures. Ensure all work meets the client’s quality standards.
- Manpower Management: Supervise site supervisors, foremen, riggers, and fitters to ensure daily targets are met.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly enforce safety protocols for working at heights, crane operations, and lifting plans.
- Reporting: Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and report site issues to the Project Manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in PEB, Steel Structure, and Industrial Shed construction.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex structural drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
